This research synthesis identifies practice elements related to increased parental sensitivity to child behavior. Behaviorally based interventions targeting changes in parental sensitivity are shown to be most effective, with optimal benefits realized in relatively few intervention sessions. Implications for developing intervention practices for strengthening the parent/child relationship are described.
