This conceptual paper includes the results of a study evaluating the effectiveness of an evidence-based tool kit of early intervention practices for promoting adoption of responsive caregiver interactions and responsive home environments for young children with developmental delays or disabilities. Greater use of the tool kit practice guides was associated with positive child benefits and parents and practitioners made positive judgments about the social validity and helpfulness of the tool kit materials.
